The locally owned and operated Met Coffee House, a.k.a. “The Met,” has repeatedly earned the distinction as “Best Coffee House in The North Country” from New Hampshire Magazine and is now roasting its own coffee. We work directly with green coffee importers to find the best tasting organically grown coffees in the world. We then take this coffee and roast it in a state of the art Deidrich coffee roaster we have set up at The Met Coffee Roasters just down the road and over the bridge The result is simple: Great Tasting Coffee.

The Met is an authentic coffee house filled with the sounds of world music, and adorned with art from around the Mt. Washingon Valley and around the world. We also offer Free Wi-Fi in our fireplaced quiet room or intenet access on our in-house computers. We are The Real Deal. No soup or sandwiches here. But you might get to catch someone important trying to get your vote for President of The United States. Or, you could sink into the purple couch and enjoy some local musicians, poets, or storytellers. Our coffee is prepared by our highly intelligent, good looking coffee guru Baristas that can’t help always being in a good mood. They'll get your drink right every time because they have studied the latest techniques offered by the folks at the Specialty Coffee Association of America. And, they'll give you a world class coffee experience every time because they are all extraordinary people that care enough to be the best at what they do. We are very lucky indeed!
